Meet The Therapists

Shannon Davis, LMSW

Under the Supervision of Corrie Farrar, LISW-CP/S

Shannon was born in Kansas City, KS and raised in Asheville, NC. Spartanburg, SC has been home for the past 10 years. She is married and has raised four children and has three dogs. Shannon enjoys horseback riding, reading, music, travel, and nature.

Her career has taken her down several different paths within the mental health community through crisis intervention, intensive in-home therapy services, equine therapy, and individual therapy for children and adults.

Shannon has 12 years experience working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. She has worked with individuals who have endured physical and emotional abuse, domestic violence, sexual abuse and trafficking, and loss.

Shannon's focus with clients is a person-centered approach and goal oriented to ensure that the individuals voices that she works with are incorporated into their journey of healing and processing past trauma. To achieve these goals, she has experience working and utilizing motivational interviewing, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based therapy.

Shannon understands that not all therapeutic approaches work for everyone and that each individual's plan should be developed together through listening and guidance to ensure goals fit the needs of the individual.
