Meet The Therapists

Ashley DeBont, LISW-CP

Ashley is a Licensed Independent Social Worker–Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, including 10 years providing therapy and crisis services. She works with adults and children experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, substance use, personality disorders, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other complex mental health needs. Her experience also includes supervising, mentoring, and developing clinicians.

Ashley’s approach is warm, sincere and collaborative. She understands that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable and works to create a space where clients can talk openly without judgment. She helps clients recognize and understand patterns that may be hindering growth, and develop practical skills that can be applied in everyday life.

Ashley tailors therapy to each client and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care. Her style is conversational and down-to-earth, and she believes therapy can be effective without feeling overly formal or clinical.

One of Ashley’s favorite parts of being a therapist is seeing clients recognize their own strengths, make connections they hadn’t seen before, and realize they’re capable of deep, meaningful change.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys building and designing miniatures and especially loves the creativity and attention to detail that goes into each project. Having lived near the coast in both Rhode Island and South Carolina, she has always enjoyed being close to the ocean. She has a much-loved pup named Potato, who keeps life interesting.
